Thrive Inc. Mentee Responsibilities & Qualifications

Mentees within this organization consist of undergraduate women of color enrolled at universities across North Carolina. These individuals are distinguished as student leaders and scholars who seek professional mentorship and aim to enhance their skills and competencies while preparing for successful future careers.

Qualifications

• Must attend Bennett College, North Carolina A&T State University, NC State University

• No GPA Requirement

• Must complete the application and interview process

Responsibilities 

• Attend mandatory Monthly Full Body Meetings  

• Complete 8 Mentoring Session and reflection form by the end of 2026

• Attend optional Bonding Activities and programs hosted by the organization

Thrive Inc. Mentor Responsibilities & Qualifications

Mentors within this organization are composed of early-career professionals and recent college graduates who are presently engaged in corporate roles, pursuing master's or doctoral degrees, or operating as entrepreneurs. Serving as mentors, they adhere to the organization's monthly programming schedule and draw upon their workforce experience or academic expertise to support mentees in both their professional and personal development. 

The qualifications and responsibilities expected of mentors are outlined in the following list.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a 4-year college or university

• Must be 2-6 years from graduation date

• Must be working as a career professional  or obtaining a master's or PhD degree in your prospective field

• Must completely fill out the application and successfully complete an interview

Responsibilities

• Attend Mandatory Mentor Meetings

• Hold 30 to 1 hour,  8 mentoring session with Thrive Mentee(s) by the end of 2026

• Submit mentoring reflection form after mentoring sessions

• Participate in Thrive Inc. Mentor initiatives
